Advertising on GayBayern: transparent, never rainbow-washed

What partners can expect from fair, clearly labelled placement.

Queer reach is not permission for unclear advertising. Paid GayBayern placements must be recognisable as advertising or sponsored. Payment never buys positive editorial coverage, a fabricated review, preferential fact-checking or a traffic guarantee.

The editorial boundary

Editorial events, places and guides are reviewed for evidence and relevance. Sponsorship may fund clearly labelled visibility but cannot change facts, rankings or safety information. Corrections and cancellations remain visible for paying partners.

What fair placement requires

  • Full name and responsible organisation.
  • Clear advertising or sponsorship label.
  • Concrete offer without misleading promises.
  • Valid landing page, transparent prices and conditions.
  • Properly licensed images and marks.
  • Suitability for an adult queer audience and community rules.

No rainbow-washing

Rainbow colours do not prove fair internal practice. Partners should explain the offer, who benefits and which conditions apply. General diversity statements cannot replace evidence. GayBayern does not morally certify a company by accepting advertising.

Measurement without surveillance

Reporting should use limited metrics such as viewable delivery or clicks. Sensitive profiles, precise locations and private chat text do not belong in analytics. Estimates remain labelled and past results are not future guarantees.

Unacceptable shortcuts

No hidden advertorials, fictional testimonials, invented awards or pressure on editorial staff. Offers involving illegal content, exploitation, deception or unclear responsibility do not become acceptable through payment.

What partners may expect

Before booking, the format, placement, duration, label, price and reporting method must be understandable. Changes need a clear contact and traceable approval. When no offer has been confirmed, a non-binding expression of interest must not look like a completed contract or guaranteed media plan.

Partner checklist

The founding-partner offer remains disabled until price, deliverables, contract route and responsible contacts are confirmed.

  1. Define objective, duration and landing page.
  2. Document creative and usage rights.
  3. Approve labelling and conditions.
  4. Agree measurement and privacy before launch.
  5. Provide for corrections and early termination.
